August 2026 Recap:
- General:
- Focus is on Agentic Payments, Parallel v3.2 and owned compute infrastructure. As announced in the July recap, Cooper Labs took a two-week summer break at the start of August and the team returned mid-month. The second half of the month was dedicated to the security review of the savings module and Parallelizer (approved via PGP-43), to shipping the corresponding remediation, and to a strategic review of our growth spending. Following that review, we decided to stop the remaining DeFi liquidity incentives and the x402 cashback program (allocated, never launched), and to redirect the unspent budget to owned AI compute infrastructure. The formal proposal is now live on the forum: PIP-70 | AI Compute Pilot: From DeFi Incentives to Owned Infrastructure
- Protocol:
- Smart Contracts:
- Security review (PGP-43): the Parallelizer savings module, the USDp tokens and the tokenomics contracts are under audit by Bail Security. The audit is ongoing. Related remediation work shipped in August:
